This project explores how digital empathy can be developed and strengthened among high school students. Digital empathy is defined as the ability to understand and respond to others’ emotions through online communication. The aim of the project is to raise awareness about emotional cues in digital environments and to encourage more respectful and supportive online interactions. The study will include a survey to measure students’ current habits and attitudes, workshops on empathetic communication in social media and messaging platforms, and simple digital scenarios where students practice giving thoughtful responses. Pre- and post-project questionnaires will be used to compare changes in awareness and behavior. The expected outcome is an increase in students’ understanding of digital empathy and a measurable improvement in how they communicate online.
